The Supporters Foundation to Dehkhoda Lexicon was established on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the suggestion of the Supporter Foundation of University of Tehran and in line with the special recommendation and support of Dr Mohammadreza Shafiei Kadkani and in the first general council meeting, Shahab Nikman, the managing director of Mana Naqsh Art & Culture Institute, was elected as a member of the board of directors of the foundation.
The general council of this foundation is unique in terms of the high credit for scientific and social works and aspects of its members. This council has more than 30 members, most of them are first-rate professors and intellectuals of Persian language and literature and prominent and well-known figures of Great Persia's art and culture; Among them Dr Mohammadreza Shafiei Kadkani, Dr Jaleh Amouzgar, Dr Rasoul Shayesteh, Dr Hassan Anvari, Dr Saeed Najafi Asadollahi, Dr Amir Banoo Karimi, Dr Gholamreza Sotoudeh, Master Shahram Nazeri, Akram Soltani, Dr Iraj Shahbazi, Dr Iraj Mehraki, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Mahmoud Doaei, Seyyed Mohammad Beheshti, Kazem Ghalamchi, and Ali Dehbashi.
The Supporters Foundation to Dehkhoda Lexicon works as a non-governmental organization (NGO) alongside the Dehkhoda Lexicon Institute & International Centre for Persian Studies to support the main goals of the Dehkhoda Lexicon Institute, including compiling The Great Dehkhoda Lexicon of the Persian language, supporting the promotion of the Persian language, and teaching the Persian language to foreign students.
