Following the previous collaborations of Dr Shahab Nikman with Tehran ICH Centre of UNESCO, as well as his meeting with Dr Yadollah Parmoon, the head of the centre, the ceremony of "UNESCO's 70th Anniversary Celebration" was held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Laleh Hotel in Tehran, and the members of Mana Naqsh participated in the ceremony, performing art and cultural programme.
In this ceremony, which was held after the first Ordinary Governing Council Meeting of Tehran ICH Centre of UNESCO on November 7 and 8, 2012, Tim Curtis, the head of UNESCO's Cultural Unit in Bangkok, Esther Kuisch Laroche, the director of UNESCO Tehran Cluster Office, Yadollah Parmoon, the head of Tehran ICH Centre of UNESCO, Iftikhar Hussain Arif, the president of ECO Cultural Institute, and the high-ranking officials of the government of Iran such as the head of the Organization of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, the head of the Research Institute of Cultural Heritage & Tourism, the secretary-general of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO, the ambassador of Iran to UNESCO, the deputy of Cultural Heritage of the Organization of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism, and the vice president for Women and Family Affairs attended the ceremony.
Nikman, the author of the "Bang of Awe" project, introduced this project at this event, and a summary of this project in the format of a video clip was also shown. Then the members of Mana Naqsh performed a concert for the audience.
