Nomination of "Crafting and Playing the Oud" for Inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2022
The "Crafting and Playing the Oud" intangible cultural heritage element is nominated for inscription on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage. The "Crafting and Playing the Oud" file, which has been submitted to UNESCO by Iran and Syria, was prepared in collaboration with Mana Naqsh Institute.
The file "Crafting and Playing the Oud", which was jointly submitted by the states parties of Iran and Syria, is nominated for inscription on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The preparation of this file was done in collaboration with Mana Naqsh Art & Culture Institute.
The file "Crafting and Playing the Oud" is to be examined by the Committee for possible inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, during the 17th Session of the UNESCO's Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Rabat, Morocco, and if approved, it will be inscribed in 2022 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
