Following the request of the managing director of Mana Naqsh Institute from the mayor and city council of Isfahan, during the welcome speech of the "Avaz-e Parsi" concert at Cehel Sotoun, the statue of Kaveh Ahangar, once again after years, on May 7, 2018, with his raised flag (Derafsh Kaviani) stood above Isfahan's Azadi square.

Following the request of the managing director of Mana Naqsh Art & Culture Institute from the mayor and city council of Isfahan, during the welcome speech of the "Avaz-e Parsi" concert at Cehel Sotoun, the statue of Kaveh Ahangar, once again after years, on May 7, 2018, with his raised flag (Derafsh Kaviani) stood above Isfahan's Azadi square.
The "Avaz-e Parsi" concert by Master Shahram Nazeri was held on September 7, 8, and 9, 2017 at Chehel Sotoun World Heritage Site in Isfahan. Some part of the content of this concert was about the story of the encounter between Kaveh Ahangar (Kaveh the Blacksmith) and Zahhak (Zahhak the Snake Shoulder) in the Shahnamah of Ferdowsi. Before the beginning of the concert, Dr Shahab Nikman, the managing director of Mana Naqsh, as the host and organizer of the concert, introduced the tangible and intangible cultural heritage elements inscribed on the UNESCO lists which were involved in the concert during his speech. Dr Ghodratollah Norouzi, the new mayor of Isfahan, after only 1 day of his election, as well as the new members of the City Council of Isfahan, were special guests of the concert.
In his speech, Nikman pointed out the special position of Kaveh Ahangar in the culture of Isfahan and said: "According to the historical narratives, Kaveh Ahangar was from Isfahan...". He then requested the new mayor of Isfahan as well as the new members of the City Council of Isfahan to re-install the Kaveh Ahangar statue, in its previous location, at Azadi Square of Isfahan once again and consider this request as the first public demand and a significant measure for cultural promotion by the municipality.
About 8 months after Nikman's speech at the "Avaz-e Parsi" concert, on May 7, 2018, the Kaveh Ahangar statue was re-installed in attendance of municipal directors, the members of the City Council of Isfahan and Nikman, and finally after more than 10 years, the statue stood above Isfahan's Azadi Square.
This statue, which is the symbol of Iranian libertarianism, was removed from Azadi Square during the Isfahan metro system construction project and was not returned to its location after the completion of the project. The Kaveh Ahangar statue is a magnificent work of the Iranian sculptor and artist, Iraj Mohammadi, which was made in 2000 at a height of about 6.5 meters, in two pieces, and made of bronze, and weighs about 5 tons.
