In line with the collaborations of the Mana Naqsh Heritage Institute for Art & Culture with UNESCO, Shahab Nikman, the managing director of this institute, with Tim Curtis, the Chief of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Section of UNESCO and the Secretary of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, as well as Rasul Samadov, the deputy of Tim Curtis met on Friday, October 21, 2016, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and discussed and negotiated the details of the collaboration and support of UNESCO to Mana Naqsh' ongoing projects.
During this meeting, a report was presented by the managing director of Mana Naqsh regarding the ongoing projects of the institute such as "Bang of Awe" and "Language of Love" as well as the plans for future projects and events of Mana Naqsh as a non-governmental organization (NGO).
In the meeting, Tim Curtis, while appreciating Mana Naqsh's activities in line with the goals of the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, especially the projects and productions that have been done in order to raise awareness about the tangible and intangible cultural heritage which are inscribed on the UNESCO ICH list and on the national ICH inventory, emphasized the support of UNESCO to Mana Naqsh in carrying out such projects.
